I thought Tihlee filled in well for Price last year. If he had 3 years at the position I think he'd be all we need.
whats the deal with the qb position? thought tylee would have it locked down. since blue spivey gratuated weve been hurting bad at the 1 spot. i miss the days of three year starters but i guess you go with whoever shows up - still, if the position isnt settled for the next couple of seasons after this year we better start trolling NETn. for one.
Don't feel like Satan, but I am to them
So I try to forget it any way I can.

Take em one at a time and everything else will take care of itself
Hutchins 6 ft 173 pounds as a freshman and grown quiet a bit since last year. Most likely in the 190# range. Big, Strong, Tough. Knows the system.
Anderson 5'9" 146 pounds as a freshman hasn't grown much. Very athletic.
The team will be fine with either of these fine young men.
A large veteran line up front and a proven running game will help the situation either way.
by any chance is the hutchins related to shawn hutchins that was a Gate City qb just before they entered the LPD?
How about the Hackney kid? Someone mentioned on here - or somewhere on the net - that he was leading the pack in the running for the Gate City quarterback position. What gives?
Leave the DRAMA to the MAMA'S
To answer question 1, he is Shawn's brother and will hopefully grow into as good an athlete as Shawn.
Question 2, Hackney was slated to more than likely take over the starting QB spot but a nagging foot injury has lead to surgery and the decision not to play this season to let recuperation take place and prepare for basketball.
I see Anderson probably starting but you never know. Hutchins may take over the spot.

According to some on the inside, Hutchins knows the system better and is more suited for the QB job. I for one hope he gets the job.
They can utalize Andersons speed and natural athletic ability at the slot back or wideout position better. Just my opinion and that doesn't count for anything.
How effective of a passer is Hutchins? Anyone know???

I spoke with a few of the players and they prefer Hutchins. More accurate. Of course this is without pads and pressure from the D. Things have a tendency to change once the heat is on. Time will tell.
Bottom line is they will be fine with either one.
Realizing this is a QB-related post, but any word on what GC's defensive secondary will be like this year. PV's spread offense took them to task last year. I'd like to see GC have some growth and development there. What's the early word?
